Pernod Ricard EMEA faced a disjointed and inconsistent approach to data backup and disaster recovery across its 42 regional markets, with each location using its own separate solution. To streamline this critical function, Pernod Ricard chose to work with vendor Asigra and its Cloud Backup platform, implemented by Backup Technology (BTL), to create a single, centralized strategy.

The solution involved rolling out Asigra's Cloud Backup to provide local backup and a remote disaster recovery service with defined recovery objectives. The successful implementation gave Pernod Ricard EMEA IT staff full visibility of backups from anywhere and ensured all critical systems and business data across the region were protected. The project management by BTL allowed for successful integration as existing supplier contracts ended in each territory.
