Opus Trust Group, a UK-based parent company to subsidiaries including Opus Trust, IdeasTap, and Bancroft Wines, faced a challenge as its growing and complex IT environment outpaced its existing cloud backup solution. With data spread across physical and virtual systems, the company needed a unified approach to protect all its applications and enable both local and offsite disaster recovery. They engaged Cisco partner Project Vision to implement a solution powered by Asigra software.

The solution deployed was the Cisco Cloud Connector developed by Asigra, hosted on Cisco hardware, and managed by OnDemand Recovery's public cloud service. This Asigra-based platform simplified the backup infrastructure, providing unified protection for over 4.8TB of data. The results included local disk backup, automated offsite backup, and a complete IT disaster recovery plan, significantly improving data protection and recovery levels across the entire network.
