MOREnet Partners with Dataedge to Offer Asigra’s Data Protection Solution to Education Market

The Missouri Research and Education Network (MOREnet), a nonprofit that provides connectivity and IT services to Missouri’s K–12 schools, colleges and public libraries, had 300 customer systems and 10 TB of data under protection but needed a more reliable, manageable backup infrastructure and a partner to provide second-level support while driving recurring revenue without heavy capital investment. MOREnet sought a solution that improved data availability, sped support response, and reduced internal overhead.

MOREnet partnered with Dataedge to deploy Asigra’s agentless cloud backup via a high‑speed direct connection, gaining policy‑based, encrypted backups with global deduplication, secondary replication and web‑based remote management. Under an SLA, MOREnet avoided building its own infrastructure, achieved high recovery assurance and faster onboarding, and now delivers more reliable, secure backups and better support to its education customers with minimal additional cost.
