Leyland Trucks Creates a Custom CMMS to Support Its State-of-the-Art Manufacturing Facility Using MaintiMizer™ Web Edition

Leyland Trucks, a long-established truck manufacturer in Lancashire, UK, faced a fragmented, "homemade" maintenance management approach despite its state-of-the-art facility and needed a single reliable system. After seeing PACCAR sites using MaintiMizer, Leyland selected Ashcom Technologies to provide MaintiMizer Web Edition to replace disparate processes and centralize maintenance operations.

Ashcom Technologies implemented MaintiMizer Web Edition to manage work orders, schedules, stores and materials inventories, labor hours and preventive maintenance, plus customizations to track shipping/receiving from internal distribution centers. The result was greater efficiency and control—fewer clerical errors, eliminated part stockouts, and more accurate work—and Leyland is working with Ashcom on tablet and scanner integrations to move toward a fully paperless system.
