A Ascom Case Study
AUSL Piacenza, a local health authority in Italy, sought to improve surgical workflow traceability, increase patient treatment monitoring, and transition from paper-based records to a fully digital system. To address this challenge, the organization partnered with vendor Ascom to implement the Ascom Digistat(R) platform as a core component of its healthcare automation and computerized departmental management drive.
By implementing the Ascom Digistat solution, the hospitals gained a complete digital overview of patient information from a single console, enabling constant monitoring of a patient's progress and near real-time notification of alarms. This improved organization and efficiency by ensuring all patient data is saved, stored, and made available to administrators and clinical staff. The solution from Ascom provided a major step towards replacing paper records and gave operating room staff a clear, shared view of surgical schedules and patient data, significantly enhancing procedural efficiency and patient safety.
