Wachusett Mountain, a busy New England ski resort that attracts skiers and snowboarders of all levels, needed a way to convert beginners into lifelong customers to sustain the business and grow the sport. To solve this, Wachusett partnered with Ascent360 and its Ascent360 CDP to unify data across engagements, rentals and lessons and power targeted, automated marketing.
Ascent360 and the Wachusett marketing team launched an omni-channel “Learn to Turn Program” that uses real-time data to trigger email, text and direct-mail offers (including automated 14-day reminder postcards) and upgrade rewards after 1- or 3-day lessons. The Ascent360 CDP-driven program boosted email capture to 95% at purchase, delivered an 85% conversion from 3-day lessons to 3-day passes, produced a 65% increase in 1- to 3-day conversions, and helped Wachusett win the NSAA Conversion Cup.
