Waze required a redesign of its application for the Windows Phone 8 platform. Ascendum Solutions implemented a solution that followed the Windows Phone Metro UI design language while incorporating elements from the Waze iOS app. The redesign prioritized usability by promoting essential settings like a sound toggle to the front and maintaining the map view on menu screens so users never lost context of their journey.
