Vuzix launches 6 AR apps with Ascendum Solutions and wins CES Best of Innovations

The customer, Vuzix Corporation, an award-winning supplier of smart glasses, approached vendor Ascendum Solutions with a challenge. They needed custom pre-installed applications developed for their Android-based Vuzix M100 Smart Glasses to enhance the device's functionality and user experience.

Ascendum Solutions conducted a discovery workshop and developed six different apps for the M100, including a clock, calendar, audio recorder, gallery, contacts, and a photo and video application. The solution also included a manager application for iOS and Android to manage the device. As a result of this work, the Vuzix M100 product received the prestigious "Best of Innovations" award at CES 2013.
