Worldwide Real Estate Service Provider engaged Ascender to outsource payroll for its Asia Pacific offices (about 2,000 employees across Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea) to tackle frequent payroll inaccuracies, inconsistent country systems, lack of visibility into payroll costs, and high compliance risk. With the client already on Oracle PeopleSoft HCM, Ascender was chosen to deliver a multi-country payroll outsourcing (MCPO) strategy and integration, including their enterprise middleware solution Ascender Connect.
Ascender executed a phased, country-by-country rollout (completing the first end-to-end implementation within two months) and provided an interim PeopleSoft integration until Ascender Connect went live, later absorbing 3,000 newly acquired employees into the regional payroll. The engagement delivered a hub-and-spoke payroll model fully integrated with PeopleSoft, single MSA/SLA, improved governance and analytics, visible payroll costs, electronic leave booking and payslip downloads in Vietnam, and compliance monitoring moved to Ascender—significantly reducing errors and streamlining reporting for finance and HR.
