Mantra, a large Australian hotel and resort operator with over 5,500 employees across multiple countries, faced the challenge of segregating payroll functions and standardising global recruitment and HR practices to support rapid international growth. To address the need for a scalable, easy-to-use system that would sit alongside its existing payroll, Mantra selected Ascender and implemented SAP SuccessFactors (with prior use and integration of Ascender’s Preceda payroll solution).

Ascender deployed SAP SuccessFactors and integrated it with Preceda, providing a dedicated consultant and end-to-end onboarding to streamline recruitment and payroll lifecycle processes. Within six months Mantra built an external candidate database of 30,000+, received 34,000 applications (with 23% coming directly), saw over 1,000 internal applications and hired more than 1,400 new team members, while payroll setup time fell from about 20 minutes to under five — demonstrating measurable time savings, higher engagement and a scalable HR/payroll platform delivered by Ascender.
