Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE), a learning community of over 130 schools serving more than 64,000 students, needed a more efficient HR and payroll system to support its 9,500 staff while keeping operational control in-house. BCE selected Ascender’s Human Resource Information System (HRIS), including Web Self Service, Management Reporting and Learning Management capabilities, to meet this need.

Ascender implemented the HRIS with onsite support and skills transfer, deploying Web Self Service first and later adding Occupational Health and Safety and online timesheets. The solution now supports and engages BCE’s 9,500 staff across multiple sites, has been widely adopted by users for easy access to payroll and HR data, and remains under BCE control with ongoing support from the Ascender account management team and professional response centre, delivering improved efficiency and stronger ROI.
