Venture For America secures more grants to catalyze economic growth in American cities with Asana

Venture for America (VFA) is a two-year fellowship that places recent graduates at startups to grow entrepreneurship in 14 U.S. cities; since 2011 it has built a network of 300+ partner startups and alumni who have launched 100+ companies. Before adopting Asana, teams relied on spreadsheets and a CRM with no standard processes, limited visibility, and tasks falling through the cracks, leaving the organization unable to scale efficiently.

VFA rolled out Asana with a small group of champions, regular training sessions, and CEO-led adoption, then centralized work across programs—from managing 45+ annual grant applications to running fellow selection and training. The result: about 45 minutes saved per person each day, at least three workdays saved per large event, clearer compliance and coordination on grants (helping secure more funding), and a scalable platform for future initiatives.
