A Asana Case Study
Quora, the Mountain View–based knowledge-sharing platform, needed a better way to manage bugs and coordinate work across 200+ employees as it scaled to 23 new languages and moved to continuous deployment. Their legacy bug process was siloed—each product team had its own form and tool access, non-engineering teams couldn’t submit or track issues easily, supplemental communication happened over email/Slack, and engineers had to build and maintain custom fixes.
Quora standardized on Asana: one company-wide bug form that routes to a central project, Asana Rules to speed triage, and a custom API that adds submitters as collaborators so reporters stay informed. They also adopted Portfolios and weekly status reporting for cross-team visibility. The result: a single source of truth that eliminated duplicate work, increased cross-functional transparency, and centralized all actionable work and project tracking for faster, more efficient problem resolution.
