A Asana Case Study
New Relic is a cloud-based observability platform (founded 2008) that helps DevOps teams at more than half of the Fortune 100 monitor and optimize complex software environments. With 2,000+ employees across 16 offices, teams had been using a mix of Asana, other tools, spreadsheets, email, and chat, which created poor visibility, unclear handoffs, ad hoc project plans, and heavy coordination overhead that slowed delivery.
To fix this, New Relic rolled out Asana company-wide with a formal implementation—training, governance, change champions, project templates, and integrations with Slack and Zendesk. The result: standardized processes and a single source of truth that saved an estimated 282 workdays per year, improved cross‑functional alignment and operating agility, and produced predictable, repeatable workflows (about 100 template-based projects and 6,000 platform comments monthly) so leaders and teams can see status and priorities in one place.
