Car Next Door is a Sydney-based peer-to-peer car-sharing platform that has grown from 20 cars in 2013 to over 155,000 members and has planted 12,500 trees. During a high-growth phase the company needed to adopt an agile mindset, break down departmental silos, and centralize OKR tracking with a tool that was powerful enough for developers yet simple enough for non-technical staff.
After piloting Asana, Car Next Door rolled it out company-wide to connect OKRs, sprint planning, one-on-ones, and developer workflows—replacing siloed spreadsheets. The change produced clearer alignment on priorities, improved cross-team collaboration, faster and more reliable feature delivery, and a single platform to support planned national expansion.
