Damco Distribution Services, a Madison, New Jersey–based transportation and distribution arm of the AP Moller Maersk Group, needed to replace a cumbersome mainframe with a powerful, cost‑effective financial reporting and accounting system. Based on a sister company's recommendation, Damco engaged Arxis Technology to implement Sage ERP Accpac to meet its complex, multi‑location accounting and reporting needs.

Arxis Technology implemented Sage ERP Accpac, built a sophisticated import utility to integrate Damco’s industry‑specific billing system, deployed doc-link for workflow and document management, and enabled multi‑currency support. The Arxis solution delivered container‑level cost reporting, integrated cash receipts/AR and cash forecasting, increased processing speed and visibility for decision makers, and “dramatically decreased the volume of paperwork” while streamlining accounts payable across locations.
