Ace Hardware needed a way to deploy its Show Ordering app to thousands of retailers’ unmanaged BYOD devices at semi-annual conventions without using MDM or public app stores; their prior web-portal approach gave no usage visibility and required 13 onsite support staff. Ace selected Arxan Technologies, using the Apperian MAM platform and an Ace‑branded App Catalog, to securely distribute apps without device enrollment and capture analytics.

Arxan Technologies implemented the private app store and app‑level management, delivering viral distribution, crash reporting, cohort analytics and simplified onboarding; nearly 2,500 retailers downloaded the Show Ordering app (vs. 1,000 expected), the app was launched ~30,000 times (≈19 launches/user), onsite support fell from 13 to 3 people, and continued post‑event usage enabled rollout of additional apps like Ace Ordering—providing clear, measurable adoption and scalability.
