FINESCE launches real-time AR serious game with ARVRtech on iOS and Android

ARVRtech partnered with FINESCE, an EU-funded FI-content project focused on smart city services, to address the challenge of raising public awareness about environmental issues like air pollution. The challenge was to develop a serious game using markerless augmented reality that could visualize real-time environmental data and provide an intuitive, engaging user experience for players.

ARVRtech developed the solution using their specific enablers, ARTool and SLAMflex. ARTool provided a no-code platform for creating AR apps, while SLAMflex enabled markerless tracking. This allowed the "ARvatar" game to display a character that changed based on live data like CO2 levels, with players guessing the real values to score points. ARVRtech's solution successfully created an immersive tool that helped make ecological data more accessible and encouraged users to adopt more sustainable habits.
