Barnwell House of Tires, a New York–area commercial truck tire and service provider, faced a sudden doubling of AP/AR workload after rapid growth and an acquisition, leaving staff overwhelmed by manual invoice sorting and data entry into HelpSystems’ Webdocs. To accommodate expansion plans and limited personnel during COVID-19, they engaged Artsyl and its docAlpha platform to address multichannel invoice capture and accurate data availability for Webdocs.
Artsyl implemented docAlpha tightly integrated with HelpSystems Webdocs to scan, classify, extract, validate and route invoices from email, fax, FTP and other channels for straight‑through processing. The result: AP document processing time fell from 10 to 4 minutes, throughput rose from ~50 to ~80 documents per day, Barnwell managed double the workload even after losing 2 FTEs, and filing/time spent on manual tasks was dramatically reduced.
