Precoat Metals Centralizes AP and Elevates the Roles of AP Team Members by Transforming Vendor Invoice Processes

Precoat Metals, a leading North American metal coil coater, needed to centralize accounts payable and eliminate time-consuming regional processes like printing, scanning and manually re-keying invoices into their AS/400 ERP. Although they used RJS HelpSystems WebDocs and AS/400, invoice capture and matching remained largely manual until they turned to Artsyl’s docAlpha Transformation Platform to address visibility, control and end-to-end AP automation.

Artsyl deployed docAlpha integrated with WebDocs and AS/400 to monitor email inboxes, automatically classify and extract invoice data, perform PO matching and push transactions into the ERP without manual entry. The automated flow removed most paper handling, scaled beyond 400 invoice batches (about 8,000–9,000 pages) per month, improved process visibility and control, and allowed Precoat Metals to reassign four FTEs to higher‑value accounting and analyst roles.
