Government Scientific Takes the Pain Out of AP Invoice Processes with docAlpha, KwikTag and Dynamics NAV

Government Scientific Source, a fast-growing laboratory and safety supplies distributor, struggled with a manual accounts payable process that couldn’t scale as revenues climbed and transaction volume rose. The AP team was printing digital invoices and keying data into Microsoft Dynamics NAV, creating a bottleneck and the need for a solution that integrated with NAV. To address this, they evaluated automation tools and implemented docAlpha from Artsyl alongside KwikTag for enterprise content management.

Artsyl’s docAlpha was deployed to automatically capture, classify and extract invoice data, then pass it into KwikTag and Microsoft Dynamics NAV to trigger workflows and routing. By enabling batch scanning, automatic sorting, filing and validation, the Artsyl-powered solution eliminated manual data entry, gave the AP team greater control, and scaled throughput from roughly 50 vendor transactions per day to about 600–700 daily while maintaining efficiency.
