Experian Onboards New Hires With Human Resources E-Learning

Experian replaced a 4.5-hour instructor-led new-hire orientation that left employees overwhelmed with a streamlined, self-service HR e-learning program. The goal was to give new hires the information they need at their own pace, create a reusable reference for 4,500 North American employees, and reduce the burden and inconsistency of classroom delivery.

Using Articulate Presenter and Engage, a cross-functional team of SMEs built a learner-driven course in about 12 weeks, adding interactive maps, short welcome videos, and hyperlinks to live intranet documents for easy maintenance. The result: higher engagement, awareness, and content knowledge in Experian’s 90-day survey; confidence in finding HR information rose from 59% to 90%, and 61% of trainees use the course as an ongoing reference.
