Blended E-Learning Creates More Opportunities for Students

Barry University’s School of Podiatric Medicine needed a better way to help students understand, retain, and apply complex biochemistry content so more graduates could succeed on board exams and help address a physician shortage. Professor Dr. Graham Shaw turned to Articulate, specifically Articulate Presenter, to build blended e-learning modules from existing PowerPoint lectures.

Using Articulate Presenter, Shaw added narration, animations, and search-friendly online access to enhance classroom learning and let students review material on demand. The result was strong student adoption and measurable gains: overall test scores improved by 6%, while non-native English-speaking students improved by 10%, nearly a full letter grade.
