Portico Benefit Services boosts emotional well-being with Artemis Health as behavioral health hits top-five cost driver

Portico Benefit Services, the benefits ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, was concerned about the emotional wellbeing of its member clergy, who face higher rates of depression than the general population. Using the Artemis Platform, vendor Artemis Health helped Portico analyze claims and member data to validate that behavioral health conditions were a top-five cost driver and that risk was rising.

Artemis Health enabled Portico to implement a two-part solution: the Being academy for preventive support and Learn to Live for clinical treatment. Initial results showed strong member engagement, with users spending 15 minutes longer on average on the platform. Portico continues to use Artemis to monitor outcomes, measure success, and evolve its behavioral health strategy.
