Carousel Designs, a custom crib bedding retailer, faced challenges in scaling their business due to customer hesitation. Shoppers were reluctant to spend hundreds of dollars without being able to visualize final products from hundreds of fabric combinations, and all sales were final. To address this, Carousel Designs engaged vendor Art+Logic to build an accessible interactive design tool.

Art+Logic implemented a web application called the Nursery Designer, initially as a flexible jQuery plugin, which allowed customers to visualize and customize bedding sets in a virtual nursery. The solution included features like coordinating fabric suggestions and design saving. Art+Logic later updated the app for mobile-first design and ADA compliance, integrating it with Shopify. This partnership, spanning over 15 years, resulted in a streamlined tool that significantly improved performance and noticeably increased sales for Carousel Designs.
