Appello was using Microsoft Dynamics CRM for customer data capture but found it couldn’t mobilize their field team and the licensing costs to give everyone access were prohibitively high. Appello chose Array — using the Array platform, forms and RESTful API — to provide a low‑cost, mobile-ready data capture solution that could be integrated with their existing Dynamics environment.
Array delivered configurable, non‑technical form building, document upload, barcode capture, PDF generation and email integrations, with data exported to Excel, Dropbox or pushed into Appello’s database via the Array API. As a result, field staff now submit complete, validated data directly into back‑office spreadsheets and databases through an automated RESTful integration; Appello reduced IT support overhead via self‑service password resets, avoided Dynamics licensing or costly in‑house development, and gained a branded, cost‑effective portal that feels like an in‑house application.
