VM Racks is a HIPAA‑compliant managed cloud provider serving healthcare, insurance and other security‑sensitive customers. They needed to protect data at rest and in transit while giving customers simple, reliable remote access and multifactor authentication; their previous firewall‑integrated SSL VPN dropped connections, had Mac compatibility issues, and did not scale or provide an acceptable MFA experience.

VM Racks deployed two Array vxAG virtual secure access gateways for high availability, using hardware‑ID multifactor authentication and XML‑RPC automation to provision accounts and assign layered roles. The result is HIPAA‑compliant in‑transit protection, stable and scalable access (add appliances as needed), streamlined onboarding, and fine‑grained role access with minimal user effort.
