Trapp Technology, a Scottsdale-based provider of applications-as-a-service and cloud hosting for small- and medium-sized businesses, needed to guarantee 24/7 availability and a desktop-like user experience for a growing mix of hosted applications (construction, accounting, tax, virtual desktops, etc.). As customer demand increased, the company required a transparent load‑balancing solution that would maintain performance, reliability, and the ability to scale without impacting end users.

Trapp deployed two Array APV2600 application delivery controllers (AppVelocity‑S) in a high-availability cluster for load balancing, SSL offload/acceleration, and zero-downtime upgrades. The result: consistent, premium user experience with fast failover, easy scaling and maintenance (servers and VMs can be added/removed without impact), a cost-effective feature set, and the ability to resell APV/AG solutions through their professional services.
