Major Refining Company, a refining facility that was shut down after only 18 months in operation, faced catastrophic equipment failure, unsafe maintenance practices, negative environmental impact, and eventual bankruptcy. ARMS Reliability was brought in to assess and rebuild the site’s maintenance approach, including its CMMS master data structure and maintenance strategy, using OnePM®.

ARMS Reliability overhauled the location hierarchy, performed criticality analysis, created BOMs for critical assets, and developed a risk-based maintenance strategy for more than 6,500 assets. The solution was implemented into the CMMS with system-generated work orders and resulted in an estimated 80% time savings versus traditional methods, helping Major Refining Company prepare to restart operations with a more sustainable and reliable maintenance program.
