A ARMS Reliability Case Study
A Medical Device Manufacturer partnered with ARMS Reliability to address an important, intricate manufacturing machine that was frequently down, reducing production and driving up emergency and corrective maintenance costs. The company needed to understand why the equipment was underperforming and how to improve reliability across multiple sites worldwide, using ARMS Reliability’s OnePM® process.
ARMS Reliability conducted a Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) study, using OnePM® to analyze maintenance strategies, spares, and frequencies and to generate SAP-ready recommendations. The optimized plan is expected to save the manufacturer more than $15 million per year at the pilot site — about $150 million over 10 years, a 91% cost reduction — while reducing downtime, labor, and idle time, with benefits that can be scaled globally.
