A ARMS Reliability Case Study
Icon Water, the ACT’s water and sewerage utility, needed to demonstrate leading-practice asset management and move away from maintenance decisions based largely on employee knowledge and undocumented work rules. With more than 700,000 assets to manage and a short timeframe to prepare strategies and work orders for a new Oracle EAM/WAM implementation, Icon Water engaged ARMS Reliability and its OnePM asset strategy management system.
ARMS Reliability helped Icon Water rapidly develop and package asset strategies, using OnePM’s component strategy library and rule-based work grouping to standardize master data and automate work order creation. The project delivered failure modes and control actions for all asset types in 14 weeks, loaded 20,000 work orders/activities into WAM, repacked work orders for better crew efficiency, and established a stronger reliability culture aligned with ISO 55000.
