Preview of the Confectionery Manufacturer Case Study

Confectionery Manufacturer Reduces Maintenance Spend by 56%

ARMS Reliability worked with a confectionery manufacturer in the United Kingdom that was facing production interruptions, wasted product, and rising maintenance costs at its batch mixing facility. To address the issue, the customer engaged ARMS Reliability to conduct a Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) study as part of a maintenance strategy optimization effort.

ARMS Reliability built an RCM model using equipment data, maintenance history, and FMECA analysis to identify failure modes, assess risks, and simulate different maintenance scenarios. The study produced optimized maintenance strategies with predicted annual savings of 14% without redesign and 56% with redesign, while also highlighting redesign opportunities, cost/risk drivers, and availability improvements.
