Gitpod achieves SOC 2 compliance with ARMO and 217 security controls

Gitpod, an open-source Kubernetes platform for cloud development environments, needed to achieve SOC 2 compliance but found that many vulnerability scanning solutions were not Kubernetes-native, leaving security gaps. To meet this challenge, Gitpod selected the ARMO Platform to get deep, Kubernetes-relevant findings for their audit.

The solution implemented by ARMO provided Gitpod with high-signal, Kubernetes-native security scanning based on recognized frameworks like NSA-CISA. The ARMO Platform's reports were accepted by their SOC 2 auditor and the tool was integrated into their weekly security processes, helping to protect against configuration drift and pinpoint areas for improvement.
