Major U.S. Cultural Institution Protects Its Valuable Historical Archives With Armis

Trofi Security, which provides SOC and virtual CISO services for a major U.S. cultural institution, needed better visibility into a sprawling network of IoT devices and a way to improve patching, monitoring, and overall security posture. Working with Armis, the team sought to identify unmanaged assets and connect vulnerability management with east-west traffic monitoring across its AWS public cloud, VMware private cloud, and IoT environment.

Armis delivered a single dashboard that integrated with firewalls, vulnerability scanners, EDR, Slack, ServiceNow, and SOAR tools, while its Enterprise Workflow Automation helped automate routine response tasks. As a result, Trofi Security discovered more than 100 previously unknown IoT devices, improved patch visibility, blocked problematic traffic and devices, and eliminated the need for one full-time security analyst position through automation.
