City of Las Vegas Gets a Handle on Sensor Sprawl in its OT Environment

The City of Las Vegas, a government organization managing a large IT and OT environment with extensive IoT assets, turned to Armis to gain better visibility into its sensor-heavy network. The city needed help addressing sensor sprawl, white-labeled devices, BYOD concerns, and the challenge of prioritizing vulnerabilities across constantly changing operational technology assets.

Using the Armis platform, including its Cyber Asset Attack Surface Management (CAASM) capabilities, the city quickly identified critical vulnerabilities, prioritized remediation, and improved asset inventory and risk management. Armis also integrated with ServiceNow, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, and the city’s CMDB, helping the City of Las Vegas reduce noncompliant devices by 80% while improving security posture, operational efficiency, and key performance indicators.
