Chordline migrates to AWS in 8 weeks with Armakuni

Chordline, a U.S. healthcare technology company, faced the challenge of migrating its clinical data analytics platform from a vendor-managed data center to a modern, cost-effective cloud environment without causing downtime or interrupting its data pipelines. They engaged Armakuni for a full-stack cloud migration, which was initially funded by a single AWS MAP program but grew to include modernizing their proprietary analytics stack to eliminate per-seat licensing.

Armakuni executed the migration across two live AWS accounts in just eight weeks, moving infrastructure and data with zero downtime and no missed pipelines. The solution included migrating to Amazon ECS and modernizing the analytics stack from Snowflake and Sisense to open-source PostgreSQL and Apache Superset. This eliminated significant licensing costs and gave Chordline full ownership of its infrastructure. The entire Phase 1 infrastructure migration was covered by $22,700 in AWS funding, resulting in zero out-of-pocket cost for the customer for that phase.
