BRANZ launches mobile-friendly earthquake resilience training with Arlo

BRANZ, an independent research organization in New Zealand, faced the challenge of translating its complex building and construction research into engaging and accessible training for industry professionals. Their internal strength was in evidence-based research, not in learning design. To bridge this gap, they partnered with vendor Arlo to leverage its learning design and course authoring services.

Arlo's learning design team worked closely with BRANZ and its stakeholders to develop a learner-first strategy. The solution involved creating storyboards and building responsive eLearning modules with animations and interactive elements. This allowed builders to access the training on mobile devices on-site. As a result, BRANZ successfully transformed its technical insights into practical, digestible learning experiences, ensuring vital knowledge contributes to safer, more resilient homes across New Zealand.
