INEOS, a major UK-based producer of polyethylene and polypropylene, faced the challenge of running continuously efficient manufacturing assets while meeting customer demand for multiple product grades—grade changes are costly and rush orders disrupt optimized schedules. To address this, INEOS selected Arkieva and its end-to-end supply chain planning solution (demand planning, inventory planning, terminal replenishment and plant scheduling).

Arkieva implemented an integrated platform at all three INEOS polyethylene plants, enabling continuous plan reconciliation with changing demand; results include improved forecast accuracy and schedule stability, reduced manufacturing costs, fewer rush shipments, less waste and lower inventory levels. Arkieva’s solution is being expanded across INEOS’s polyolefin business in Europe and has been cited as easier to maintain and lower cost to support.
