Armedia Improves Washington State Legislature Public Records Request Process by using ArkCase, Leading Open-source Case Management Platform

The Legislative Service Center (LEG-TECH), which provides IT solutions for the Washington State Legislature, faced an extremely manual and error-prone public records request process. To improve efficiency and support its Open Government Initiative, LEG-TECH partnered with vendor Armedia to implement a new Public Records Management Platform using the ArkCase open-source case management solution.

Armedia implemented a highly secure and configurable cloud-based solution using ArkCase FOIA. The platform streamlined the process with features like automated task management, integrated redaction, and robust reporting. The implementation, including training and go-live, was completed in under two months. As a result, the customer has seen a significant increase in the overall speed and efficiency of processing public records requests since its production launch in February 2019.
