Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC) is a national organization focused on supporting people affected by breast cancer, but its direct response fundraising campaigns were underperforming. After a fundraising audit showed that its static gift arrays were set below optimal ask amounts, LBBC partnered with Arjuna Solutions and its ExactAsk A.I. Service to better analyze and optimize donation ask levels.

Arjuna Solutions implemented individually personalized gift arrays using Behavior Economics Modeling to optimize appeals without changing LBBC’s existing systems or processes. The results included a $54,000 lift in contributions, an average increase of $22.64 per gift, a 0.23 percentage point improvement in response rate, and a return of $11.89 for every $1 invested. LBBC also reported about a 22% lift in giving and used the additional funds to support new educational programming.
