Picturemaxx is a 30‑year‑old digital media services provider that manages over a petabyte of storage and more than one billion media assets for some 10,000 customers, supporting around 600 applications. Its legacy Infiniband server interconnect suffered from poor reliability, limited visibility and disruptive outages, creating operational risk and making capacity planning and troubleshooting difficult during frequent traffic surges.

Picturemaxx replaced the interconnect with an Arista solution (7050 Series switches and EOS) in an active/active, leaf‑spine design with Multi‑Chassis Link Aggregation and commodity 10GbE servers. The migration delivered a 6–8× throughput increase with reduced latency, near‑instant failover, 100% uptime since deployment, improved visibility, and freed IT resources—providing a scalable foundation for cloud delivery and new managed services.
