Multiplay, a 20-year leader in multiplayer game hosting, built a hybrid cloud orchestration platform to rapidly provision bare‑metal and cloud servers so publishers can scale for demand spikes while keeping costs and latency low. The challenge was finding a networking foundation that delivered high performance, very low latency and open integration for deep automation across global data centers.

Multiplay deployed Arista 7050X switches running Arista EOS — a Linux-like OS that enabled tight automation integration — at colocations in London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Stockholm. The solution delivered wire‑speed 10/40GbE performance, lower power and higher density, “phenomenal” support, and a clear upgrade path to 100Gbps on the same core architecture, allowing Multiplay to cost‑effectively scale and deliver high‑performance multiplayer experiences for publishers and gamers.
