Morphlabs Deploys Arista 7048 to Democratize the Enterprise Cloud

Morphlabs, a provider of turnkey private cloud solutions, needed an affordable, compact and highly extensible top-of-rack switch to realize its mCloud Data Center Unit (DCU) and democratize enterprise-class private clouds. The challenge was to deliver non-blocking, high-performance connectivity and API-driven automation that could isolate and allocate compute and storage resources while meeting customers’ constraints on cost, space and power.

By deploying the Arista 7048 at the top of rack (with Arista 7050/7500 spines for large deployments) and integrating Arista EOS APIs with the mCloud Controller, Morphlabs achieved automated VLAN provisioning, active-active MLAG redundancy, and high-speed links between compute nodes, RN farms and a 10Gb SAN backup. The solution delivered the required wire-speed performance, simplified operations and scalable availability, completing the mCloud DCU vision and enabling consistent, enterprise-class private cloud deployments for Morphlabs’ customers.
