Leonix - Customer Case Study

Leonix is a French telecom operator founded in 2004 that provides virtualised IP‑PABX and network services to business customers and has grown ~30% annually. As its VM count and traffic increased, synchronous data replication between geographically separated sites became constrained by legacy switches and storage, causing unacceptable latency and throughput limits that threatened service availability.

Working with Alyseo, Leonix replaced the legacy stack with Arista 7000 family switches running EOS and Coraid EtherDrive storage, tested the design in a lab and deployed it across a 35 km dark‑fibre link. The new architecture cut latency by 65%, delivered scalable headroom for projected growth, was implemented in three months, and proved resilient during a major datacentre power outage when ~50 VMs were spun up at the alternate site with minimal customer impact.
