Case Study: Cyso achieves a low-cost, reliable, and scalable OpenStack public cloud with Arista Networks

A Arista Networks Case Study

Preview of the Cyso Case Study

Cyso selects Arista as critical foundation for low cost, reliable and scalable public cloud service

Cyso, a Dutch managed hosting provider founded in 1997, launched Fuga.io to offer a competitive, OpenStack‑based public cloud while preserving reliability, automation and low cost. The company needed a scalable, high‑performance switching architecture that could support rapid OpenStack release cycles, enable self‑service automation and help detect and mitigate security threats, at a time when many vendors were still adapting to OpenStack standards.

Cyso deployed Arista 7150 Series switches and Arista EOS, integrated with Foreman for orchestration and Puppet for configuration management, to build a converged, highly automated network for VM, storage and management traffic. The solution delivered deep native OpenStack support, seamless orchestration and configuration, roughly three times fewer switches per node versus the legacy vendor, and competitive pricing — enabling fast scaling, broader rollout into VMware environments, and a flexible, cost‑competitive public cloud offering.
