The Pilz B2B customer portal - more than just an online store

The customer, Pilz GmbH & Co. KG, a global supplier of automation technology, faced the challenge of migrating its outdated and unsupported SAP Web Channel online store to a future-proof e-commerce platform. Their goals included achieving high system availability, centralizing product data, and enabling a seamless mobile shopping experience for their B2B customers. To address this, they partnered with the vendor Arineo for its expertise in SAP e-commerce migration.

Arineo implemented the modern SAP Commerce (B2B) solution, which provided a highly available, clustered server architecture and a responsive design for mobile devices. The new customer portal featured an optimized product search and was deeply integrated with Pilz's existing CRM and ERP systems. Following the successful go-live, Arineo's Application Management Support (AMS) took over to ensure smooth operation and continuous development of the platform, enhancing the overall service experience for Pilz's global customers.
