ARGO helped the National Lending Organization, a 25-year-old retail lender with nearly 190 stores, manage very high loan volume while improving risk-based pricing, reducing losses, and making shopping and financing easier for customers. Using ARGO Retail Lending, the company wanted better real-time underwriting, faster loan decisions, stronger security, and the ability to size its technology for rapid growth.
ARGO updated the organization’s existing scorecard by adding 35 new attributes and enhancing the Decision and Business Rules Engine with new risk and pricing algorithms. ARGO also added Finance-Based Shopping, soft-pull prequalification, and security improvements that removed direct handling of SSNs and TINs. The result was millions of dollars in monthly impact, lower loss rates, higher capture rates, improved ROI, and the ability to scale loan operations by two to three times.
