Enphase Energy, an engineering-driven maker of residential and commercial solar solutions, needed a systematic way to manage product development and quality across a growing, complex supply chain. As the company scaled, ensuring design-for-manufacturability (DFM), involving contract manufacturers in decisions, and maintaining visibility into changes and corrective actions became critical—and manual tracking left teams struggling with stale data and limited process transparency.

Enphase implemented Arena PLM early and expanded it enterprise-wide, including contract manufacturers in approvals, driving 8D/corrective actions, and securing revision access. Adding Arena Analytics automated process tracking and bottleneck detection, freed Document Control from manual reporting, and gave clear ownership and status visibility—resulting in faster cycles, improved DFM, stronger quality control, and progress toward cost and product goals.
