Ankama migrates 80 million users to AWS with Arelion

Ankama, an online gaming production company and one of France's top digital companies, faced the challenge of migrating its vast on-premises infrastructure to AWS with minimal disruption and secure connectivity. To avoid the risks of using the public internet, they engaged vendor Arelion to provide a stable and secure solution for this critical project.

Arelion implemented its Cloud Connect service, which utilized their global IP backbone and AWS Direct Connect to provision resilient, dedicated private links to AWS. This solution provided a secure and reliable network environment for the large-scale data transfer. As a result, Ankama successfully completed its full migration to AWS and was able to reinvent itself as a cloud-native business.
