Winn Slavin Fine Art Gallery achieves an 800-grit polished finish in 24 hours with ARDEX Americas

The Winn Slavin Fine Art Gallery in Beverly Hills, CA, needed to achieve a polished concrete floor aesthetic. Their challenge was working on a tight schedule during evening hours to avoid disrupting business, compounded by an existing lightweight concrete substrate that was not polishable. ARDEX Americas provided the solution using their ARDEX EP 2000 substrate preparation epoxy and ARDEX K 520 self-leveling concrete topping.

ARDEX Americas’ solution involved priming the floor with ARDEX EP 2000 and then installing a 3/8" layer of the polishable ARDEX K 520 topping. The new floor was polished and cut using a series of grits, achieving an 800 grit finish. The client was highly pleased with the final polished look and the minimal disruption to their business hours, with the project completed efficiently within the required timeline.
